Canadians show up everywhere. Sutherland House author Angela Mailis was on the big Dr. Wendy Walsh show on KFI Los Angeles this week to talk about her new book Smart, Successful & Abused: The Unspoken Problem of Domestic Violence and High-Achieving Women. You can listen here. It’s a great interview. It made us wonder about Dr. Wendy Walsh.
Turns out she is a native of Halifax and a graduate of Ryerson’s journalism program. In addition to working on a lot of big television news programs, and appearing as herself in The Mask, and as a reporter in The Cable Guy, and in a bit part in Baywatch, Dr. Walsh trained as a clinical psychologist. She is also one of the women who brought allegations of sexual misconduct against Bill O’Reilly, for which she was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year in 2017 along with the other “Silence Breakers.”
Dr. Walsh has written three books, including The 30-Day Love Detox: Cleanse Yourself of Bad Boys, Cheaters, and Men who Won’t Commit—And Find a Real Relationship, which may be why she and Angela hit it off.
